Planned Giving

Ferrum College planned giving donors have made a commitment to the future of the institution.

Planned giving donors give Ferrum College the opportunity to grow and attract new students and faculty by underwriting new capital projects, renovations to current facilities, long-standing successful programs, and new academic and  athletic programs.

Planned giving donations can be arranged in the present time and allocated either currently or at the donor’s passing as part of long-term financial and/or estate planning. By means of planned gifts, donors are able to designate funds to College projects that they may not have been capable of supporting during their lifetimes. These types of gifts include bequests and life-income gifts of annuities and trusts.  In some cases, these gifts may provide a donor with life-income and favorable tax advantages.

Ferrum College recognizes all of our planned giving donors with membership in the Beckham Society and celebrates those donors at an annual stewardship event.
